In a competitive match, the effort and intensity today was brilliant, with hard work and energy right to the end. With only nine players, everyone played their part to show Porto’s true colours. They were superb in every department, with neat passing, great covering tackles, fine saves, and nice finishes. The team can be proud of their performance which was well-deserved.

There was an added calmness to their play, thinking about what they were doing and supporting their teammates. They had to dig deep, and it was great to see them maintain their confidence after things went against them. Their desire to win the second ball meant they were straight back on it, working together and they rightly got their rewards with lovely composure.

As player of the match, Fin worked hard in defence and distributed the ball well. Porto showed excellent teamwork today and this togetherness will hold them in good place for their remaining matches.
