1st Half
The game kicked off late on Saturday morning at 12:00
AFC Oakley are a well-established team and the game started at a fast pace, the teams were evenly matched for the bulk of the first 10 minutes.
Borussia took the lead from a well struck shot from Vincent, this was taken outside the penalty box and went in to make it
1-0
Shortly afterwards AFC Oakley struck back and also scored a goal from long distance.

The game was becoming stretched and Borussia were starting to establish themselves in the game, with a real competitive streak being shown by Lewis and Jack Truby
The forward play was linking well with midfield and clever runs on the wing from Vincent and Lewis were stretching the game.
Jacob went close with a chance and the ball was being worked well around the pitch. With much of the action being in the Oakley half

2nd Half
The second half started in a similar fashion, with Vincent making a good cross field run and collecting the ball up from Jack Truby’s pass, with Vincent’s shot going wide past the post.
Conner came on for Vincent and made an immediate impact, pushing up the wing and running at their left back, causing lots of issues and having chances to score which on another day would have gone in
Further chances from Kenzie who went close and Jacob were unsuccessful but on another day would have gone in.
Thomas had another solid game and deservedly got the MOTM award working alongside Sean who made some great interceptions and tackles to ensure Oakley did not get through on goal
The game was being closely contested, but Oakley won a free kick from just past the halfway line in the Borussia half, the ball was lofted high over the defensive line and picked up by the Oakley attacker, who hit the ball high into the net

Another attack from Oakley resulted in a ball chipped high over the defence, the attacker let it run in from of him and placed it into the Borussia goal to make it 3

Further chances from Alfie who made a good run from defence and shot wide and Jacob who latched onto a loose ball could have levelled the game up.
