(Many thanks to Coach, Andy, for the match report)
Saturday 15 November
Buckingham FC Youth U13 Rovers 4 – 1 Linslade Galaxy U13 Porto
It was a game full of effort and flashes of quality, even if the scoreline didn't tell the whole story. On another day, that early strike off the bar goes in and we're talking about a completely different result.
The team worked hard throughout, but a few lapses at the back proved costly. Still, there were plenty of positives, chances were created, and when Jack tucked one away late on, it showed what this team is capable of. At times, they moved the ball well, it's about knowing when to slow it down and when to speed it up.
Player of the match was Fred who was solid and relentless in his defending.
Silent weekend encouraged the players to find their voice, and that communication needs to keep growing. Next week is anything but quiet, a clash with local rivals Stoke Hammond. We know this team can turn it on. Now it's about pressing higher, putting opponents under more pressure and making it harder for them to break through. And creating more chances to really test the keeper.
