The visitors started brightly, taking a deserved 2–0 lead through an own goal and when Logan stabbed home. Both goals were supplied by player of the match, Callum who found space and created chances through set pieces and nice passes.

As half time approached, Porto had chances, but then conceded, and did so again at the start of the second half as SCA levelled the score. Despite having the wind at their backs, Porto were unable to capitalise, with misplaced passes putting them under pressure.

A lack of composure allowed the home side back in and as Porto took the foot off the gas, the home team scored twice more. Although Callum pulled one back late on, time was not on their side.

There are positives to take, particularly the early attacking play. The team must learn to manage the game better when ahead and reduce unforced errors. Improved communication will be key moving forward.
