After a stadium experience of coming out the players tunnel and having their names announced on the stadium PA, Spartak lined up to face Langton Green Mustangs in their first match.

This was a match that Galaxy dominated from start to finish and comfortably won 5-0 with Thomas in goal a bystander. Theo was central to everything Spartak did and came away with an assist and two goals, including an effort smashed in from the right hand side. Johan also scored two goals, his second thanks to battling play from Joseph who won the ball and gave Johan an easy tap in. Spartak’s fifth was scored by Luke N, who slotted home coming in late at the far post.

The second match against Bloomsbury FC was a much tighter affair with only the one goal in Spartak’s favour separating the sides. The goal was very neatly tucked away by Aidan, but Galaxy had Caelan in goal to thank for keeping the opposition out.

Galaxy’s final match of the group stage saw them face Broadstairs Town, who had drawn their previous two group matches 0-0. This was a match where Spartak were the better side, but the margin between the sides was not huge and therefore the match was never comfortable. No more so when Luke N in goal let a tame shot slip under him, but he managed to scramble and regain control before the whole ball crossed the line. In the end Spartak managed to get the goal to maintain their 100% record. After good work from Elliot he fed Johan who unselfishly passed across to Luke W to slot home the goal with the goal gaping.
