Linslade Galaxy U-15 Spartak wrapped up what’s proved to have been a turbulent season on a high with Victory at the Edge Academy tournament at the weekend.

The boys played some great football throughout the day, finishing second in their group of six teams, to reach the gold cup semi finals. In the semi finals Spartak faced previously unbeaten Woody’s from Enfield and put in a top performance to progress to the final.

The final saw Spartak take on the home club, Edge Football academy JPL, and a tight game over 15 minutes finished 0-0.

Spartak held their nerve to win the penalty shootout and overall tournament and finished their season on a high.
