This match was part of the Silent Support Weekend initiative and it was really good to see the kids expressing themselves. Some more vocal than others. But importantly supporting each other and working together.

Atletico were at it from the get go and were fast out of the blocks. They were pressuring the opposition from the outset. Harry, Jack, Kasey, James - getting stuck in, not afraid to run with the ball - not afraid to press and close down. It was really good to see.

The goals kept coming, quick and fast. With every attack it felt like Atletico were going to score. Whilst we were strong going forward, we were equally as strong at the back. Maya playing in defence, keeping the opposition at bay. Jamie in goal, a safe pair of hands. Assured - commanding his area with purpose and authority. He was growing in confidence. He made some vital saves.

Even when we made substitutions, it did not upset our rhythm. Toby and Thomas kept the door tightly closed at the back, Ben controlling the midfield, driving forward with every opportunity.

As each quarter went on, Atletico grew in confidence. Their passing was getting better and finding their intended target, their dribbling was becoming more controlled, their shooting was becoming more accurate.

This is some feedback we received from the opposition manager: "Your team were great today, attacked quick upon recovery of the ball and didn’t stop! Well played."

Super proud of the team, super proud of each and every one of them. They deserved the victory. Player of the Match went to Jamie: He was awesome in goal; some great saves, confident - knew when to pick it up, when to come out and stop the opposition, when to clear. A real pair of safe hands. Well done.
