One word to describe the teams performance today and that was AWESOME. The result reflected the performance - outstanding. The game started with Olney being in the ascedency. Atletico were not set and started off a little sluggish.

Atletico started to grow into the game, with Harry commanding his defensive area and Thomas driving forward with purpose and authority. The team had the bit between their teeth. James, Ben and Maya passing the ball around with precision - each finding their target. Each taking the opportunity to run with the ball when necessary with both going close.

Atletico start to move forward with desire to get back into the game. The game is evenly matched. Both teams having chances. Both teams going close. Whenever the opposition had a chance, both Kasey and Toby closed the door at the back and sniffed out danger. Kasey again being calm and collective. Toby being focused and concentrated. Ben steps up and takes the game by the scruff of the neck and drags Atletico back into the game. The result swings towards us.

Each and everyone one of them showed desire, determination and drive. They were brave. Their confidence grew as the game went on. We were absolutely blown away by their performance. Hopefully this will catapult the team forward.

Player of the Match - Ben Lewis. For his goals and the way he took command of the midfield. When he had the ball he was not afraid to run with it. His control, touch and dribbling was outstanding. Even when he lost the ball, his determination to win it back was a testiment to his commitment.
